Our Client had promised each other a new kitchen and really wanted an inspirational design on a room that they felt was fairly limited with options. Due to the room shape and the fact that there are 3 doors in the room there was limited wall space that could be utilised but with this split level island it has created a fantastic worktop space, storage solutions and even eating area!

Designer's Tips
Creating different levels throughout the room makes a wonderful feature and seating area.
Avilon
The Brief
This client took a huge leap in moving to the South of France to set up a small B&B. It was important to them that they had a kitchen that they knew would be good quality and last throughout the years despite the high use. We needed to provide a space that was functional, practical and stylish as this is an open plan kitchen breakfast room.

Designer's Tips
Move your sink away from the window and you could create a wonderful feature with a window seat, allowing you to appreciate the view and light that is then opened up.
Landsdowne Black Walnut with Parapan Cream White
The Brief
To create a bright yet warm family area which would allow the family to grow. It was very important for every detail of this room to be highly practical, everything to have a home and stand the test of time.

Why clutter a room with units when you can create storage that really works? Synctomotion drawers utilise the space with ease and each drawer holds up to 50kg!
Milton Ivory
The Brief
Our Client wanted to create the light, open and rustic feel they had in their France home in their new English cottage. This wonderful kitchen extension creates a warm and social room for all the family.

Designer's Tips
Keeping the fixtures within the room as light yet warm colours allows you to accentuate features such as the mantle shown here in red along with matching accessories. Not only does this add character but it allows you to change them over time.
Metris mix – Textured Wenge, Textured Sand, Linear Wenge & Minty Zebrano
The Brief
Our client wanted a 'wow' factor kitchen that would be practical for them and their family. They instantly fell in love with the Minty Zebrano doors and curved designs exclusively found in a Metris Kitchen. To create this incredible room they had to complete extensive building works before we could start. Now they have a magnificent living space for all the family.

Designer's Tips
Combining textures through out the room creates a finish that adds depth, warmth and interest instantly. Accentuate this by adding bold colours.
Seaton Oak
The Brief
This kitchen was looking tired and with this property potentially going on to the market the owners wanted to give their kitchen a quick, easy and affordable revamp. We changed all fascia's, including end panels, plinths, worktop, tiles, sink and tap. This kitchen was transformed with very little disruption and at a very low cost.
Budget: under £5k
Includes; Door and drawer fronts and some additional units to existing kitchen, wall tiles, laminate worktop, sink, tap and installation.
Designer's Tips
Changing just the cabinet doors in your kitchen can give the room a fresh feel at minimal cost. It is also possible to extend units, add in extra features and improve storage this way too.
Alabama Pear
The Brief
This kitchen was separated into two separate rooms by a half height exposed brick wall. Our task was to open this space out, Making it feel lighter, more social and a cook's dream! On top of this we needed to create a new utility and office from a garage conversion.

If you are a keen cook, research your appliances and try to speak to people who have used the items they are selling, this will help you identify which appliances are best suited to your needs and lifestyle. American Walnut & Avant Beige
The Brief
This supply only kitchen was designed to create a new style of living for this family who believed all they would be able to get for their budget was a budget builder's merchant kitchen. They wanted an inspirational design that would be practical for their family's needs.

Designer's Tips
Take the time to realistically plan your budget and requirements so that you can be advised on the products that will be right for you. Also keep an open mind, although there may be some set layout ideas you may have, your designer may have seen other options that you may be pleasantly surprised by, we know this family were and still are!
Croft Oak
The Brief
With a young family, our client wanted a kitchen living space that would be flexible for the different stages of their own and their daughters' lifestyles. The solid timber doors create a classic, timeless style, contrasting beautifully with the black worktops, range cooker and fridge.
Budget: £8k - £12k
Includes; Kitchen units, storage solutions, laminate worktop, blocking in window and plastering room, floor modification, electrics and installation.
Designer's Tips
Consider a mix of hidden and closed storage to create design interest, such as hide-away larders, with country-inspired wicker baskets, open shelving and glazed cabinetry for a more bespoke feel to the scheme.
Avant Black
The Brief
This typically sized Milton Keynes kitchen with the challenge of 3 doorways to fit into a new stylish and practical design. This is a family home, the client wanted black units, Wenge effect worktop and floor, but without the room feeling dark. A key requirement was to increase the amount of hidden storage. A mix of Kessebohmer pull-outs and drawer combinations ensured there was plenty of space to keep pots, pans, crockery and food all organised and out of sight.

Designer's Tips
Opting for black cabinetry doesn't mean the space is dark. High-gloss doors will reflect the light, mix in a stainless steel splashback, glazed wall units and white painted walls and the room will be light and airy.
Metris Mix
The Brief
Our client wanted to create a real modern 'wow' factor in this Victorian property, whilst keeping some of the original features. At the start of this Project they completed a 5m x 5m extension to ensure they could get exactly what they dreamt of.

Designer's Tips
Although the units chosen by the customer are quite cool and subtle, they definitely help set off the key features of this room such as the exposed brick and sash window which was once the exterior of the house. Other subtle area's of interest are the Bamboo worksurfaces and built in eye level appliances.
Milton Painted
The Brief
Our brief was to come up with a kitchen that had a Mark Wilkinson feel but at a more affordable price. The project required extensive building work to a barn conversion, but the end result was worth it. The client wanted to bring the countryside view into her home and this was achieved through the elegant large French windows at the end of the dining space. The natural travertine flooring helps bring the outside in, and creates a flow through the kitchen.
Budget: £25k - £30K

Designer's Tips
Achieve a country feel with a mix of summery colours, accessorise with crockery, painted chairs, and open shelving, not forgetting a comfortable place for the dog next to the range cooker!
Avant Beige
The Brief
To create a stylish, social and practical kitchen for this 2 bedroom home. Although there was often a lot of entertaining in this house there was no need for excessive cooking appliances as on a day to day basis there were only 1 or 2 people there. It was important to this customer that the all elements of the project could be under taken from replacing the floor, plastering, electrics to decoration as they work long hours and have limited time.
Budget: £12k - £15k

Designer's Tips
Use a contrasting plinth and carcase colour to give depth and interest to your kitchen. Also using a combination oven microwave allows you to have the flexibility of 2 appliances whilst keeping the cost down and worksurfaces clear.
Parapan White
The Brief
Our Client had a very clear idea on how they wanted this space to look and feel. The challenge for us was to ensure we made the best possible use of the storage space and maximised the worktop area without over crowding the room so as to achieve this magnificent minimalist look.
Budget: £25k - £30k

Designer's Tips
Building bespoke sized units into awkward spaces will ensure you use all of the available space without over crowding kitchen/living area. Also using drawers throughout your kitchen maximises and organises the storage space.
Scope Walnut
The Brief
With a growing family this home needs to be opened out to create a family living area instead of the closed off rooms it once had, all on a tight budget as there was so much more to be done in the room before their new arrival.
Budget: £12k - £15k

Designer's Tips
Many people see built in appliances as a must have, but free standing ones can break up a long run of units and add more interest to the room especially with such a wide range of matching styles and colours now available on the market. Free standing appliances are also a great way to manage your budget.

The Brief
To create a modern practical kitchen that will last for years to come. Although this kitchen needed a fantastic and breath taking design it also had to be practical due to the client having arthritis. Each unit holds its own individual storage solution that enables everything with in to be seen and accessed easily.

Designer's Tips
If you experience problems with your back or arthritis look for storage that will bring the stored items to you such as drawers and pull outs. Also keeping ovens and fridges at eye level will help keep things easily accessible.
