Shaker Kitchen in De Nimes and Putty

Chandni & Rajay returned to us after buying a new home as they loved their first Lima Kitchen so much.

This home is set to be their family home for many years. It needed to perform as an everyday kitchen, capable of catering and hosting large family gatherings plus meet their family needs both whilst their girls are small and as they grow.

Before they received the key to their new home they knew they needed our help. The space was divided into four different rooms, creating a dark and uninviting space. Approaching us with the brief of a bright, open, highly functional and social space they left us to create a proposal on reconfiguring their ground floor.

Our proposal encompassed removing walls, building new ones, changing doors and windows to take full advantage of the beautiful garden and light. The central fireplace creates a room divide whilst retaining a connection to the main kitchen. The backdrop of this kitchen provides a clean line for us to work from and the mirrored splashback helps with remaining connected to the rest of the room whilst at the sink. The island faces into the room making this a highly social space. The custom shape of the island provides the solution to working with the buildings angles whilst adding its own character.

This kitchen hits the mark across the board with high functionality, sociability and being simply beautiful.
