How long does a new kitchen take?
It depends heavily on the scope of the work, so the honest answer is a range rather than a single figure.
As a guide, a more straightforward project takes around three and a half weeks. That covers removing the old kitchen, first-fix work such as electrics, plumbing and plastering, then installing the units and worktops. At the other end, a full reconfiguration takes up to four months, where we’re changing wall layouts, replacing flooring, decorating, and modifying heating and cooling as part of the project.
Most kitchens fall somewhere between the two, and the biggest factor is how much is changing beyond the kitchen itself. When we assess your space, we’ll give you a realistic timeline for your specific project, and we’ll be honest if something is likely to extend it, rather than quoting an optimistic date we can’t hold to.
