Free Comprehensive Design Service

3 – Appointment

We are proud to offer a free comprehensive 3-appointment design service. This provides you with approximately 4 hours face-to-face time with your design consultant. This is phased to allow your consultant to present you with our best design and product options to create the kitchen and atmosphere you crave, with a kitchen design and installation service that you will love.

Please note due to Covid 19 we are now operating a modified service.  This is to ensure safety for all of our workforce, clients and suppliers.  The initial two appointments will be carried out via zoom with the third appointment in the showroom where you can see and feel the product along with working together on final amendments and colour palettes.

Initial Consultation

Beginning your Lima Kitchens journey starts with our initial consultation. Our aim will be to discuss your requirements and obtain the details of your space, because how can we create your new space without a true understanding of you and your lifestyle. We can do this by a visit to your home to measure and assess your existing space, or from architectural plans that you supply. We will discuss how you are looking to use your new space, the atmosphere you are looking to create and find out the styles you like and dislike. At this point it is important to understand your lifestyle, the foods you cook and any specific requirements you, family members or regular visitors may have.  Once we have the information required we make an initial design appointment back in our showroom.

During the pandemic we are requesting PDFs of architect plans or sketches of your existing space to be emailed through to us.  This is to minimise the amount of homes we visit in a short timescale keeping Milton Keynes safe.

Design Concept

Upon visiting our showroom we will make you feel at home and present our design concept, products and provide you with a ballpark figure. We will be able to discuss and work through how the design meets your requirements, how utilising your space in this way will benefit you and discuss any concerns you may have.  You will then be in a position to begin considering your options.  We will book a return appointment to allow you time to digest the design and estimate provided.

We are pleased to say that very little has changed here. Our modified service means that this section of our service is to be carried out over zoom as we are able to work together through the design concept and discuss details and options. When we book in your return visit we hope to have any modifications or options completed along with a good idea of products and samples you will need to see.  Maximising and focusing your showroom time to the best of our ability.

Design & Product Confirmation

This appointment is to confirm that you are happy with the design and confirm your product choices, allowing us to finalise any costing. In some cases we may suggest that we carry out an additional appointment at our Kitchen Test Drive facility, where you will be able to see and stand in a true scale mock-up of your new kitchen. This is a great way to confirm sizing, workflows and to help anyone struggling with visualising their new room.

We will then book in your project and take your 25% deposit. Should you not be in a position to leave your deposit and require extra design appointments we will take a £480 design fee that will be refundable against your kitchen order.

Before you visit our showroom.

Please confirm that neither you, or any family or support bubble member, are experiencing Covid symptoms nor should you be self-isolating.  We will clean down the showroom in full and prepare all relevant units for viewing, along with laying out samples to create your mood boards.  We will require you to scan our QR code and to wear face coverings at all times, exemption cards will be required where applicable.  Hand washing and sanitising facilities are available. We are also working to keep showroom visits capped to 1 hour to minimise prolonged periods of time mixing households and to allow us to clean down the showroom ahead of other client visits.

Should we be in tier 5 or above then we will be unable to allow people into the showroom.  We will be offering a ‘click & collect’ service on samples to help with mood boards and product selection.  We will require you to return the samples in an agreed timescale so that they are available for other clients to do the same.

This may all seem very strict but minimising risk at this stage could make the difference between smooth running projects and delaying installations due to staff contracting covid or needing to self-isolate.  As understanding as everyone is about this, it is not a situation that is ideal for any of us but we are working to make it the best and safest service for all!

Kitchen installation

Our kitchen installation team will remove your existing kitchen, fit all of your new units, worktops, tiling and splashbacks. The team will also undertake any necessary plumbing work. In most cases you will also require electrical work to be carried out, which we can accommodate with our own qualified team.

Our experienced kitchen installation teams have worked with us for several years. They know our products, expectations, and the way we design; therefore making the process as smooth as possible with the best possible finish and longevity.

If you have a building team already working in your home, we are happy to simply supply your kitchen or our installation team are happy to install the kitchen units and worktops, leaving your builders to focus on other areas.

On top of our expert kitchen installation, we have an extended team of exceptional trades to undertake more extensive work.
