With a baby on the way, Tim and Aimee were racing to get their new home updated and safe before the little one’s arrival. Their compact kitchen needed maximizing – both for storage and usable workspace to juggle multiple tasks at once. It was crucial to fit in a family-sized fridge freezer, safe cooking appliances, storage solutions, and a dining area.
To achieve their needs, we rearranged the layout to create a bank of units. This allowed for a fridge freezer, eye-level combination microwave and single oven, plus ample storage along the countertop. Separating the sink and hob into distinct zones let them perform individual tasks without getting in each other’s way. We also added a breakfast bar for casual seating or a highchair, and a larder unit by the fireplace.
The result – A kitchen ready for this growing family’s needs! Smart use of the modest space provided dedicated areas for cooking, cleaning, dining, and storage. And with baby-proofed appliances, safe counters, and a highchair waiting, this kitchen is now a safe haven designed with little ones in mind. Tim and Aimee have the efficient yet family-friendly kitchen they dreamed of just in time for their newest addition’s arrival!
